General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice has appointed Michael Kirchner vice president and general manager of Bakery Channels, which includes In-Store Bakery, Bakery Ingredients, Fresh Bread Solutions, Convenient Solutions Team and Wholesale Sweet Goods. Kirchner was most recently director of foodservice sales for SuperValu in the Consumer Foods Sales division, a position he had held since The Pillsbury Company integrated with General Mills in 2001.
