Concord (NH) Hospitals cafeteria is earning about 10 percent less revenues than last year because of a policy change that eliminated unhealthier menu items in favor of healthier ones

Concord (NH) Hospital’s cafeteria is earning about 10 percent less than last year because of a policy change that eliminated unhealthier menu items in favor of healthier ones, reports the Concord Monitor. The changes included eliminating foods containing trans fats and saturated fats as well as rich desserts. So now the cafeteria serves frozen yogurt and sorbet instead of ice cream, turkey bacon instead of bacon and baked chicken nuggets instead of deep fried. The hospital also halved the portion size of its entrees (as well as their prices).
