It's one thing to win a recipe contest but it's quite another to see that recipe rolled out as a new product nationwide. That's what happened with Terri White of Charlotte County Foodservice, Port Charlotte, FL, winner of Otis Spunkmeyer's cookie recipe contest honoring National School LunchWeek.
Terri's Apple CinnaMount Cookie dough, a blend of brown sugar, real butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, is now available as part of Otis Spunkmeyer's Sweet Discovery line of pre-made doughs.
Recipes were judged on taste and overall appeal, creative use of the National School Lunch Week theme and manufacturability.
