NarrativeEncompassing Greensboro, Guilford County is expanding universal breakfast to 52 schools this year and adding breakfast in the classroom at a dozen sites, including two high schools. Also deployed are breakfast kiosks with tablet-based POS. The summer meal program has also been expanded with more sites and breakfast service. Guilford also satellites several thousand meals a day to 15 area colleges to feed high school students taking classes at them. The district foodservice program, which had been running deficits in the past, has now been in the black for almost 10 years.
