NarrativeVery diverse Duval County (free/reduced school percentages range from 7% to 98%) includes Jacksonville and has had static enrollment rates recently. It contracted its school nutrition program to Chartwells-Thompson four years ago. Breakfast participation is up about 4% thanks to use of the community eligibility option. At the 83 current CEO sites, breakfast participation is at 80.2% and lunch at 80.3%. Duval uses central production and cook-chill for most production but some scratch cooking is done at individual sites.
